What pictures come to mind when you see people's Mudcat name.
The "Name the Mudcatter" thread shows that these vary. E.g. I am a Hobbit fan but didn't know that Freda Underhill came from down-under, so my picture was the one she intended. But someone said that KT refered to his/her initials (- Kevin Turner, or Karen Taylor maybe)whereas I would have guessed Katy Smith maybe.
So 2 to get you started, my name and my daughter's (Cally Hanna).

Images change. When I saw your name, I originally thought of the children's rhyme

Eenie, meenie, minie mo
catch a Tiger by his toe...

But now I see a picture of a square dance and a woman dressed in Scottish pleated plaid dress calling out the moves that the dancers make. This is a mix of Americana and Scottish-cana.

At least I think I read somewhere that you're Scottish.

Am I right about that?

I'm English, but quite often when I tell people that we enjoy Folk Dancing people often assume we go Scottish dancing, then it's "Oh, you mean Morris Dancing". English Country Dancing seems to be a minority interest. When I'm calling for beginners I wear a flashy embroidered waistcoat with pansies on and call dances from all over the place; England, Ireland, Scotland, France, America. And dances dating from 1651 to ones I've made up on the spot. And the dancers find variations that I'd never imagined.

Dave the Gnome is obviously tall, young and clean- shaven.

Liz the Squeak is a big plate of mashed potato and cabbage.

Pimms is a company that produces alcoholic cordial drinks known as Fruit Cup No 1, N0 2 etc. I think there were orginally six but now there's only 2. It's become inextricable linked in the English imagination with summer, the Wimbledon tennis championships, The Royal Ascot races and the Henley Regatta.
