Subject: RE: BS: We're back to captive audiences From: GUEST Date: 04 Jul 06 - 08:43 PM From Forbes.com 'Since al-Zarqawi's death, Bush said U.S.-led coalition and Iraqi forces have launched more than 190 raids on targets throughout the country, captured more than 700 enemy operatives and killed 60 more. Members of Fort Bragg's special operations forces were among the first coalition troops to arrive on the scene of the bombing of al-Zarqawi's safe house, Bush said. "They administered compassionate medical care to a man who showed no compassion to his victims," the president said to the troops, who greeted him with shouts of "Hooah!"' I sure hope the President didn't step in it--the hooah that is. |

Subject: RE: BS: We're back to captive audiences From: Barry Finn Date: 04 Jul 06 - 09:26 PM He should've invited all the soldiers to his Bush Bath. He's not as much support left as he once had. Are the bases the only place he can turned up to speak publicly any more without extreme interference? He certainly needs a "captive audience' if he's going to continue to speak. If not his audience may capture him,,,please Lord,,,,,. Barry |

Subject: RE: BS: We're back to captive audiences From: katlaughing Date: 05 Jul 06 - 12:20 AM Bush pledged to the flag-waving crowd, "I'm not going to allow the sacrifice of 2,527 (U.S.) troops who've died in Iraq to be in vain by pulling out before the job is done." That bastard...2,527 of our young good people are not enough for him, as well as the thousands of civilians in Iraq who have died. A report by Andrew Krepinevich, a retired army officer on a Pentagon contract, says the Army has become a "thin green line" about to snap under the weight of lengthy and repeated tours of duty, continued low-level casualties, and poor recruiting. It's possible, Krepinevich says, that the Army can't keep up the level of troops necessary to win the peace in Iraq. from TIME Magazine |

Subject: RE: BS: We're back to captive audiences From: 282RA Date: 05 Jul 06 - 04:21 PM It means we're going to wait until we're lifting off from rooftops in choppers as the enemy approaches before we leave. |
