Let's see if I remember...

Half a mile from the county fair, the rain came pourin down

Me and Billy standin there, with a silver half a crown

Had to pull up fishin rods, and the tackle on our backs

We just stood there gettin wet, with our backs against the fence

Oh the water...oh the water...oh the water hope it don't rain all day

And it stoned me to my soul...stoned me just like jelly roll..and it stoned me

And it stoned me to my soul...stoned me just like goin home, yeah it stoned me

Then the rain let up,and the sun came out,and we were gettin dry

Almost let a pickup truck nearly pass us by

so we jumped right in and the driver grinned and he dropped us up the road

Then we looked at the swim and we jumped right in,not to mention fishin poles

Oh the water...oh the water...oh the water let it run all over me

And it stoned me to my soul...stoned me just like jelly roll...and it stoned me

and it stoned me to my soul...stoned me just like goin home, yeah it stoned me

On the way back home we sang a song, but our throats were gettin dry

Then we saw the man from across the road, with the sunshine in his eye

Well he lived all alone in his own little home, with a great big gallon jar

There were bottles too,one for me and you,and he said "Hey,there you are"

Oh the water...oh the water...oh the water, get it myself from the mountain stream

And it stoned me to my soul, stoned me just like jelly roll, yeah it stoned me(repeat 3 times)

They call it stormy Monday
Tuesday, Tuesday ain't so bad
Oh yes they call it Stormy Monday
but Tuesday Tuesday ain't so bad.......memory's stalled, that's why I play & don't sing too often.
START A NEW THREAD FOR EACH TITLE!!!
Some kind person with a good memory (or a book) will surely come along to relieve your woes, though I think in the case of Stormy Monday there are as many versions as singers! Ooh it brings back memories, I could sing it all the way through with HIM!!

Stormy Monday (T-Bone Walker)br>
Well, they call it Stormy Monday, but Tuesday's just as bad.
Yes, they call it Sormy Monday, but Tuesday's just as bad
Wednesday's worse and Thursday's all so sad

Well the eagle flies on Friday, and Saturday I go out to play.
I said, the eagle flies on Friday, and Saturday I go out to play.
Sunday I go to church, I get down on my knees and I pray

(usually an instrumental break goes here)

Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy on me
I said Lord have mercy, Lord have mercy on me
You know I'm crazy 'bout my baby, please send her back home to me

That's the way I learned it (assuming I didn't let too many typos get in there). If you need chords, post back and I'll see what I can do.

You know, "stoned me" is one of those songs that if you'd never heard it, but just read the lyrics, the power just wouldn't come through.
