I have a baldwin 45" upright piano on a custom-made dolly now to wheel around Capitol Hill washington dc playing outdoors in parks and for parties. The Capitol Hillbillies (Charlie Bean and a lot of Bailes') perform around it every sunday weather permitting 3-7 in front of riverby books 417 east capitol street - 4 blocks from the Capitol. we do primitive black and white gospel, folk blues, trad jazz, honky tonk, jug band, boogie-woogie, bluegrass (without a banjo), carter family, jimmie rodgers, woody guthrie, leadbelly, etc and sometimes irish, scottish, french canadian, and other dance tunes with fiddle and piano. other musicians are welcome. if you are local it would be great if you come by. if you are from out of town we can offer hospitality. no money is involved. contact joel bailes at jbai@loc.gov
