Well, Ive taken the plunge and volunteered to steward at the festival. Havnt decided whether to camp as yet as I live locally.

14th - 16th July 2006
Stokes Barn, Much Wenlock, Shropshire.

See you there I hope..

I'm stewarding too, so I reckon we're bound to meet!

Have you been before? I went last year for the first time - very relaxed & friendly. Seemed to be a session going a fair bit of the time, but very little singing. (Obviously lots of storytelling plus some concerts) I'd love to get a bit more singing going - would you be interested?

Sue

I'm stewarding there as well this year, my first visit after many years of clashing with Saddleworth.
See you there
Col

My boy Joe and I shall be there selling my lemony drink. He came with with me 13yrs ago when he was 7 weeks old. It was the first festival I had ever been to, pre lemonade days. I went on my own with my 2 girls and my baby. It was magical, friendly, safe and a brilliant intro the this wonderful family of which I now belong.

See you all Saturday morning.

Sal

Hi Sally, will be good to see you. I havnt stewarded before.

Ive been a couple of times Sue, but not last year. Im more into Irish music and singing than storytelling. Will be missing my weekly irish music practice session to steward.

The last time I went we all trouped down to the George & Dragon in Much Wenlock one evening. Its surprising how many people you can get in a Volvo Estate!

Should be there Friday pm. Have my instructions and am looking forward to seeing friends.

I'll be there as a performer, mostly singing but with some storytelling - but hey, that's what my gigs are like anyway. See some of you there, I hope - Anne (Lister)

I survived stewarding.. and the heat... Im still cooking.

Nice to meet you Sue the borderer, hope your session on the gate wasnt too hot and dusty... didnt the septic tanks nearby stink....

It was nice to see Mrs Lemon... the last time she was stretched out asleep next to her van! THink the heat had got to you Sal!

Lovely mix of colour and sound, young and old... fairies with wings (even the bloke)

Nice to meet Mike Jackson.. g'day to you and your good lady.

I had a go at the chunky knitting in the craft tent.. great fun.. Have just started knitting again recently. Used to do all sorts of garments for myself, family and friends. Stopped when the kids thought home knitted stuff was old fashioned. Glad its back in vogue again.

If you havent been to the Festival at the Edge pencil it in for next year.

We're still simmering, having broiled ...and I didn't think I was out in the sun much yesterday! Good to meet Sal and drink her fine lemonade.   No Mudcatters came to give me the secret sign, so I don't know who else was there. Probably saw you, Fliss, because I'm sure we met most of the stewards at some time. I was the one with the purple guitar case over my shoulder, knocking people sideways.
