Well, it isn't colons that cause the problem with thread titles - could it be semicolons that are causing titles to truncat....

Ahhhh, it is great to pop in to my beloved 'Cat and see that my dear friends, Mr. Thieme and Mr. Offer are still at it. It is wonderful to see Art offering his expert ANALysis before others jumped in and wrecked 'em. But I must ask Bro' Joe if a semicolonoscopy is what one gets when he is half-arsed?

You trying to keep up with Art, Mick? That "half-arsed" quip was pretty good, but it just doesn't measure up to Art's masterpieces. Ain't nobody who's a match for Art. He's a true hero to us all. Would that our politicians could accomplish so much.
Say, do you think Art could give Al Gore joke lessons? No, on second thought, maybe that's not a good idea...

Joe,

Not a chance in this lifetime that I could keep up with our dear friend, and living legend, the gifted Mr. Thieme. And being Irish to the core, I am especially in awe of his talents. I am just trying to get back into the swing in my favorite community, and am out of shape. It was merely an attempt to start training so when I can get back to a normal schedule I won't be completely out of practice.

BTW my friend, would you mind sharing with me just where you went on vacation last week? You didn't find your way to Michigan, did you? We did a pub gig, and at the break we were lamenting that the 3 of the 5 of us had the flu, and were suffering our way through. I went up to the bar to get some water, and a fellow sitting there was a deadringer for the photos I have seen of you, minus the green moustache. I thought to myself later, it would be just my luck for you to turn up on this night of all nights.

Hmmm. People have been wondering about my travels, Mick. I guess I do travel a lot. It was New England, New Mexico, and the Great Lakes this year. Last week, it was Big Sur in California. I saw lots of elephant seals and jillions of Monarch butterflies and a California condor and some whales, but not a single Mudcatteer.

"I do expect to see Mudcatteers on my next journey," he said, somewhat ominously.

Not in Michigan, though.
