This coming Saturday, 15 July, we will gather at the PressRoom in Portsmouth NH for an afternoon/evening of shanties and forebitters from 3:30 to 7:30 PM.

I am certainly planning to attend and I'll see if I can shanghai a few others.

Maybe you could bring us up to date on any more tall ship events, and the Festival of Sail at the end of September if that's still happening.

And maybe our friends from Gloucester could tell us when they're plaining to re-launch the Adventure.

Looks like a few of us will be making the trip north to the Press Room this coming Saturday, July 15th. Been a busy month. Adventure is due to relaunch within the next two weeks pending tide schedules and completing the content of work in front of us. I will keep everyone posted as we get closer to the dates with postings on Mudcat and personal e-mails. Charlie and Judy....thanks for posting the pictures from Mystic. Nice to see you on Chantey Cabin from the UK.
Are we going to the same pub on August 5 for lunch....I really do hope so.....

So far, it looks to be a decent turnout. Most of the locals are not regular Mudcatters so I won't know about them until Friday night.

But where are Jeri, Barry Finn, et al ?

Well this was sudden. We wrapped up a lot of work this week and Schooner Adventure is being relaunched on Tuesday evening, July 18th at between 5 and 6 pm in the evening. We have been out of the water for 18 months and are about to get wet once again. Rose's Marine on Main Street in Gloucester. www.schooner-adventure.org   for further info call 978-281-8079. We'll see you all at the Press Room on Saturday afternoon. Lots of songs will be done onboard once we finish the deck and hatches...even if we're not sailing for a while. Looking forward to August 5th.

Hey, there's at least one survivor!

Why is it that the only time we encountered a cloudburst was when we were leaving the Press Room for the van? Obviously we should have ducked back in and had another round.

Nice turnout and good singing. Thanks again to Tom and Linn for hosting this virtual 19th century experience.
