You're sick, and my TV just rolled over and died, and the poor thing wasn't quite 22 years old. I turned it on, and it immediately turned itself off and stayed that way. This is unrelated, I think, but I was somewhere else in town and saw the fire truck and ambulance go by. They were headed just down the road from me - maybe 5 houses away. I think staying home isn't so bad.

I hope you feel OK enough to appreciate the peace and quiet.

I haven't actually met you but did try to crash virtually your New Year's Eve sing so I feel I know you. I've just come back from a concert by The Devil's Interval (three amazingly talented young singers: Jim Causley, Emily Portman and Lauren McCormick) who featured so wondrously on the Songlinks 2 CD (English Traditional Songs & Their American Variants). They'll be at the C# London Festival over the weekend too, so we'll have a good sing especially for you, Sinsull, and send our wishes for you to get better.

See I can sense you are feeling BETTER ALREADY...
So ...I will call you on my Blackberry ok...,oh did I tell you I have a new Blackberry...well I do, cool huh..anyways like we will call you around 3am when the gig is over and then head up to your place with the CDs and the Guys.

Mary, if you ain't up an' about by tomorrow girl, I'm gonna hav'ta send you up some of my asphalt pudding.
    No it's not fo eating, silly, it's a poultice. I take a tiny bit of shingle (1/3) melt it down (granuales & all), then I take some coal tar pitch, about 1/2 gal. worth, & warm it up real good, mix it up a cup o the asphalt (don't forget the granuales) an' then add another cup o thunderbird (wine) as a thinner, not to thin mine you.
    I'll tell what to do with if you don't get better. There now, feeling better already, eh?

Well, Mary, instead of using the time to transcribe a couple songs I want to learn, I've been hauling stuff out of the cellar to Freecycle, cleaning out another accumulation in the bedroom to Freecycle and take to Goodwill (not the same stuff!), and finished reading the book I'm giving to my sister for Christmas. (Now I have to read the book I'm giving my brother for Christmas. But I'm NOT gonna read the book I'm giving to my nephews which is about bats, but the "wrong" kind -- the baseball variety.)

Also have to go out and see if the person I bought a bunch of shoes from at a yardsale yesterday set up again today despite yesterday's rain. And go to the Farmer's Market, and to get some marked down plants at Brook's, fill up the gas tank, etcet etcet. Oh, and pull out some more stuff to Freecycle.
