Blast from the past ... I listened to 'Long Forgotten' whilst driving round Aberdeenshire this weekend and then found this thread up near the top!
Spooky.
Regards all round.
Hazel.

Hi Oaklet m'dear.
Nice website, will listen to some of your new stuff when I get home from work. Is it as good as the old stuff?

'The Notes In The Stones' is still my favourite CD, for some reason :0)

Hugs xxx

I was just in the kitchen cooking. And, as I do on many occasions, had CARA on the cd player.

I shall never tire of their talent and professionalism.

I love Cara's music and it's great to see they're still playing. The website is still there, and I can't wait to hear them at the Australian National Folk Festival in Canberra. (you're applying, aren't you, Oaklet?)

hopefully

freda

Oaklet:

Consider adding this tune to your new CD. The link is to an earlier Mudcat Thread on this fine 6/8 slow air:

'The Methlick Style'

Jon, you are so kind. Kinder than the other two what play in us band who'll often say after an hour or two of driving, "Let's start with the Lough Derg Jig" in order that they can warm-up gently.

Only twice have I ever got through this without breaking wind, a bone, a string or a bow and on each occasion no-one was listening.

Honest

Beautiful music. Just the right blend of violin, whistle and guitar.

I especially like the fiddle.

Thank you for the link.

Hello,

We've put some music on: some are half-tracks and others are in full so that you can listen to what we do (sometimes) in the evenings and at weekends.

The site is being re-vamped and we might have a blog on it so that we write things down and that.

It is at:

    http://www.carasmusic.com

The guitarist has gone to Scotand.
