I've done a search in the DT and not found anything. Anyone know the words or any thing else about this song? (I'm not sure if it's called this by the way, it's something my mum remembered when I was playing an Italian tune on one of my boxes).

Papa Piccolino

It was a #2 hit in 1953 for Diana Dekker. Darren, you're treading in my other world, would you like it in Icelandic?

Thanks for the lyrics Diane, I regret to say my Icelandic isn't up to scratch these days so I'll pass up on your offer. Never heard of Diana Dekker though.

Cheers for the link Anglo, must have unchecked the forum box when I did the search.

And such quick answers too :-)

It also appears on the Anglo International 3CD set, performed by John Kirkpatrick. See here

Link doesn't work Graham. The booklet says it was a hit for the Beverley Sisters.

Don't suppose you did it in Icelandic though. It's called Hildur Einarsdóttir, but I haven't yet worked out why.
