so i was in new york for a week and i went to the the eddie brickell and new bohemians free concert in central park. There were tons of people there. i didn't know she had so many fans still. the concert was great because they look liked they were having fun and that really translated into good music. her stage presence is also great because she is having fun, its not a job for her to perform. i went to the website and there were free tracks and stuff. newbohemians.com the site is pretty cool as well. i think eddie did all the artwork but i am not sure. it looks cool none the less

Got her first CD many years ago. Thought she had a great future, so its a nice surprise that she is doing well.

Loved her ever since "What I Am"

"...religion is a smile on a dog..."

Still married to Paul Simon?

They got started over in Dallas so I was able to see them a few times before they recorded. They were a pretty darn good band back then. I always thought of them as Ricky Lee Jones filtered through The Police. I wonder how many original members are left?

When I was in college my band covered "What I am" (circa 1988). We liked the song because of its Jerry Garcia-sounding lead guitar part. Her second album was also quite good. I think it's called Ghost of a Dog. I always thought it was a bit weird that she married Paul Simon and her career came to an abrubt end.

My favourite was Circles (I think that was the name - but can't find my CD)

I thought that you might be interested to know that Edie and the New Bohemians are doing a benifit concert for a musician with medical problems.

Her opening act will be Paul Simon. An acoustic set.
