Bob Morton and Ken Greenhough of The Union Folk used to do this, I recall that Bob looked very fetching in his head-scarf doing the female role.

The original place (east of Manchester) is called Droylsden, wheer they used t'blacklead th' tramlines. But that story is told of other towns nearby, along with putting the pig on the wall to watch the band go by.

Always bear in mind that you may not have the right spelling for a place name. A quick search via the onsite search engine (link at the top of every page) for droylsden would have done the trick:

Does anyone know where I can get the words for Droylsden Wakes, used to know them but sadly age creeps up on the memory and deletes it!!!
