Subject: RE: Help: song in Musical 'In Love' From: Joe Offer Date: 09 Aug 06 - 05:26 AM There's a song called "In Love" in the musical Blue Eyes that opened in London April 27, 1928, and had 276 performances. Composer was Jerome Kern (lyrics by Graham John) - it was a revised version of a song called "Alone At Last" from the 1913 musical Oh, I Say!. Source: Show Tunes, 1905-1991, by Stephen Suskin. Is that what you need, Roger? ....but now I can't find the Salzkammergut song.... -Joe- |

Subject: RE: Help: song in Musical 'In Love' From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 09 Aug 06 - 09:20 AM Thanks, Joe, looks likely. The Salzkammergut is in White Horse Inn: the programme notes I got off the web give it as "In Sal...." followed by a ballet titled "Sal...." Having paid to enter this for a charity, if I win they'll get the prize money back! I wanted to check as I'll spring it on some friends whow are more into this amateur shows to see how many they can get without checking! RtS |
