Subject: Recommendation Mark Dowding Kate Bramley From: Linda Kelly Date: 14 Aug 06 - 05:47 PM Can I just recommend 2 wonderful CD's -Mark Dowding's Travelling Tales and Kate Bramley's Little Canaan. Mark has a wonderful voice and the tracks vary from the traditional to self composition- the CD is a real journey. Harmonies are wonderful, humour, ballads-its the whole deal-thanks for this CD Mark I have played it endlessly. Little Canaan by Bad Pennies Kate Bramley has original track and is a real gem. Kae is so much more than a member if Jez Lowe's band. wonderfully assisted by Jez, Edwina Hayes and James Keelaghan it is wonderful. Pstachio and I have spotted at least 3 tracks we can nick! |

Subject: RE: Recommendation Mark Dowding Kate Bramley From: Mark Dowding Date: 15 Aug 06 - 02:46 AM Thanks for the recommendation Linda - your making me blush! Glad you like the CD. Actually there's nothing on Travelling Tales that I've written (I don't know which one you're thinking of Linda) but I did write a song for the Shrewsbury Railway Heritage Trust called "The Old Potts" which is on a CD that Chris Harvey and I recorded to raise funds for the Trust called "The Old Potts Railway" and is about the Shropshire and Montgomery Railway which had an up and down existence finally meeting its demise in the 1960s. Details on my website www.markdowding.co.uk Cheers Mark |
