zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....it's over, and now I'm in fatigue-land.

(It was fabulous. On staff this year were Mike Stevens, Raymond McLain, Michael Jerome Brown, Pat Humphries & Sandy Opatow aka Emma's Revolution, Cindy Thompson, David Kaynor, José Orozco & Elvis Sanchez - what a week!)

I missed the Woods again this year. I know I made the right decision, because although I've come roaring back after last September's body-part replacement, I don't yet have the stamina to go to slide guitar classes at 9 am and jams that last till 3am for five nights straight. So I missed Raymond McLain's enthralling bluegrass workshops, and I missed Michael Jerome Brown's sensational blues-guitar classes, and I missed hearing Mike Stevens blow a dazzling harp break on one of my new songs - and the worst part is? - for the next year I'll be listening to tired-but-happy campers raving to me about what I missed!!! But seriously folks, I'm glad you had so much fun. There's just no substitute for that total immersion experience.

Sorry, O.M., I didn't think of it. The camp was 'sold out' about 3 months beforehand. There are threads on Mudcat about The Woods Music and Dance Camp from other years.

The camp is held at a private school on Lake Rosseau, in the gorgeous Muskoka Lakes. Here's a link to The Woods' website - where you can find out who previous staff people were, for instance.
