Subject: RE: Cyril Tawney celebration @ C# House-14 April 2007 From: Alio Date: 15 Apr 07 - 06:38 PM Thanks Linda - I'll pay you later. And as for "fantastic" - that sums you and Hazel up. You just keep on getting better! The highlights for me were Martin Wyndham-Read (again), Les Barker, Mike Waterson's colourful language, and the crew on stage at the end. Oh, and wandering around the library - I could have stayed in there for weeks!! I was like a child in a toy shop. The whole day was just wonderful and so memorable. Ali |
Subject: RE: Cyril Tawney celebration @ C# House-14 April 2007 From: MuddleC Date: 16 Apr 07 - 02:10 PM Well, bought some recordings, noted down some potential new songs, got in a song myself(the last one!) before the afternoon West Country revel , eat carrot cake , drank beer, sang , listened, drank more beer, sang, drang bristened , sank, leered, got taxi back to digs.. especially liked Les Barker and Mike W's 'protest-at-the-way-of-things' contributions. It was nice to have a singaround where people wanted to listen and sing (could have done with a few of you at my 'local' club on sunday) |
