My iMac came with a utility called "Front Row" which plays all media types - the music player is iTunes/Quicktime of course. It has its own supplied remote which enables operation of iTunes with the same menu operation as iPod - brilliant. Being Mac, it also has a built-in magnetic parking spot for the remote on the side of the screen.

I'm in the process of changing over from PC and just love these little Mac touches. You may well find the software for Front Row as a free download from Apple?

cheers, Terry

If you have a Mac computer, the software should be there. Either iTunes or Quicktime are mentioned in the brochure.

Keep in touch, Bet, and tell us how you do with it assuming you get it.

Thanks to you both. I hadn't tried Googlin it, I do have eMac computer, and I can download CDs but don't know about the software. I'll see if I can find something. I really think it sounds interesting and could save a LOT of work.
Thanks again. bet

BTW That assumes you have the CDs available ON your computer. If your computer has the CD-ROM drive on it, you can load them all onto the computer fairly quickly.

For specific instructions, we would probably need to know which type of computer you have and any specific software on the computer to play CDs or copy them onto the computer.

Don't feel it's a problem asking for help. Please do any time.

I had never heard of the AirClickUSB before. I had a look with Google and came up with the link above.

It certainly looks like a great gadget. If you want to look at the manual and can handle PDF files, this is a link to the Manual.

According to Circuit City, the AirClickUSB is about $40.00 in US funds.

Here I am again asking for help form the Mudcaters. I thought when I retired
2 1/2 years ago frm Colorado schools I would be done asking questions . Will I'm in Alaska now and had my arm twisted to take a job teaching elementary music in a school that does not know what a good music program can be. The twisting was done 3 days before school started.
The sound system here is not the best but I can live with it even though it only takes 1 CD at a time. A friend suggested that I get an AirClickUSB for the computer and download the CDs that go with our books. She said she thought I could then play them through the computer and not have to change them all the time.
What do you know about these things? Any idea of price? What should I ook for? I'm not really tech.
Any hep would be really appreciated.

bet
