Some time ago I started a thread asking for info on Haruo guitars. It was right after I bought a Haruo 12-string at a yard sale. That was the best $70 I ever spent. I was so captivated by the sound and feel of the instrument I had to know more.

My research turned up a few owners. I contacted them and learned little more. My research is detailed in the above thread.

The point of all this is that a T. Haruo 6-string guitar is now running on eBay. According to the seller Haruo was forced out of business because he copied too many of Martin's secrets. I don't know if it's true or not but I do know that Haruo owners uncategorically stand by their instruments. My 12-string has made me a shameless fan and I am not one to advertise or act like a fan for anything else.

I was gifted my first T. Haruo guitar in 1976. It is a twelve string model T-80-12. Since then I have also picked up a T-50, two T-80's, a T-100, and their highest trim level, the T-150. I also have a D-18, and D-35 Martin, a J45, a J35, and J200TV Gibson. The T. Haruo guitars are true acoustic cannons of total sustained range from low to high. Extremely easy to play set up for clean sound. Even the lower trim level T-50 compare with my Martins, and Gibsons. I have neither owned, or ever played another guitar equal to the over all high quality of the higher level T-80 through T-150 models.
