I recently saw a recording of Alexander Prince[woodland flowers played on english concertina]. I understood he was a Macann duet player,did he play english as well.

I got interested in Alexander Prince years ago when I used to play the english concertina.

I can't answer your question though.

I do have a collection of 78s by AP which I have assiduously and slowly garnered over the years through visiting junk shops etc.

It is very hard to find anything out about AP. If anyone has information I would be most interested.

Go to Concertina Library and search, you may find out something you don't already know.
There are some digitized recordings of AP here

But still no information anywhere as to whether he recorded woodland flowers on the english. and which instrument he started on. TO JAKE, if i knew the answer to this i wouldnt be asking.
