Well folks I'm sorry to say I have to go in for my other new hip in November, and I can't do the Getaway and that too.
As it gives me a great deal of pain and discomfort I must get it done as soon as possible.
Sorry to miss all you guys, but hopefully next year.

I probably will not make it, as previously thought,too, unless we make a certain sale in time. I figure that's alright, though. Those who go this year can suss out all the *wrinkles* at the new camp and have them all ironed out in time for us at next year's!

I have to add myself to this year's list of deserters. I had a lot of fun last year, especially with the sea music workshops. However, I do have to spend some time reinforcing a couple of legislative campaigns in my area, and Election Day is the following Tuesday. The Legislature is almost evenly divided this year and our district is always a battleground.

Next year for sure!

So don't trash the place completely!

Them as are in New England or NY and can't go that far, keep NOMAD in mind as an alternative.

It's considerably more urban, but you can get to it.

Two more no-shows checking in. It's been a wonderful year of too much fun and Linn and I need a break, not to mention I'm schedulled for a heavy work load this fall and Linn will be taking time off to visit relatives in Milwaukee and there just isn't time to fit this wonderful experience in AND be able to enjoy our annual visit from our British "family."

I plan to be there--and will do my best to convince Dani there IS no life without the Getaway. Unfortunately, she is both stubborn and responsible.

(Perhaps I can at least convince her that she really doesn't want to be responsible for loosing me on the Getaway unsupervised:>)

Sister Annie is planning on coming also, but has got to find another engineer to go evaluate the envirnmental impact of the "Pumkin Chunkin'" in Delaware first.
