Subject: Folklore: Pecker Dunne on TG4 From: Brían Date: 07 Sep 06 - 08:33 PM Hear this wonderful representative of humanity, hear his music, meet his family and experience his life on the road. Click here: TG4, then click on web TV, then the green bar that says ceol cartlann, then Ceol na bhFánaithe - 06/09/2006. The monumental Margaret Barry is featured on a previous program. Brían |

Subject: RE: Folklore: Pecker Dunne on TG4 From: Brían Date: 08 Sep 06 - 10:04 AM I found the audio out of synch with my PC as well. I scrolled through the advertisements. It was well worth muddling through. Brían |
Subject: RE: Folklore: Pecker Dunne on TG4 From: The Sandman Date: 08 Sep 06 - 11:23 AM I have had the privelige of being given a couple of punts by Pecker Dunne, when I was busking in Skibbereen. Likewise a fiver by Ronnie Drew in cork city[ I should have framed it ], both lovely men. Dick Miles |
Subject: RE: Folklore: Pecker Dunne on TG4 From: Brían Date: 08 Sep 06 - 11:43 AM Cap'n I must say when I first saw the word punt, I had the image Pecker's foot coming up against someone's backside. Then I realised he was putting Irish currency into your music case. Not that Pecker would have done anything of the sort to a busker. No sense framing it. You were better off enjoying it. It makes a better story than a wall-hanging. Brían |
