Brendy, I thought you'd dropped off the face of the earth. Good to hear you're alive and well. Any word from Ciaran and the brother? Looks like I won't make it this year to Loughstock I'll be in Seattle and then Vancouver. Maybe next year. I'll plan for that. I'm saving me pennies for a cattle drive in Montana in September...don't ask.

Paul, as I intend to stay at Hotel Draper: 17, 42, 3.1415926535, 2.7182818, 2007 (I hope these are enough numbers - if not, just tell me, I can provide more ...) ;-)

Paul, a few years ago it was 48 pounds for the cab - single fare. Makes 96 pounds for the return trip.
Up to 4 passengers per cab (gets very cramped then), i.e. 12 pounds per person single, 24 return.
With 3 passengers it's 16 pounds single, 32 return.

(plus price increasements over the last few years ...)

I don't know the prices for hire cars ...

Skarpi, what I discovered on my last trip home (I live and drive in Canada now and have done both now longer here than there) Wherever you are in the world "if you have the correct vehicle for that area"
THE DRIVER SITS ON THE WHITE LINE. Give it a try, it works for me, you can also get used to it while you are at home.
GOOD LUCK read the small print, I don't accept any responsibility for anything, just ask my wife, JohnB

If anyone leaving from east London would like food and a preparatory session on Thursday night, please let me know and I'll be happy to provide the food. The session is the usual one at the Chevy Chase in Stratford.

Fiddlers just confirmed - back room available from 9pm on the Saturday - open to General Public and his cohort also though, so start practising yer autographs.

I'll be over Friday evening sometime (these real jobs get in the way of early flights). If anyone needs a lift from George Best Belfast City (harbour) Airport that evening we can probably swing it.

2 - Meeting all those who are going whether for a few hours or whole weekend and meeting the catters I've been chatitng to for awhile - as well as catching up with catters I've already met before.

3 - Having a jolly good time - and hearing lots of music.

Can't wait to meet you all.

What are we doing for Sunday lunch? Did anyone make a decision? I'm more than happy to cook if I know how many there are likely to be...

Am planning to drive up from Dublin with a friend on Friday (that's the 9 February, right?).

Fiddlers Green booked out so am looking for a hotel/B&B.

Anything happening on Friday night?

We'll be in the Fiddlers Gulliver, as we won't get there till early evening it may not liven up till a bit late. You can also find people at the Barholm, which is the big building with the conservatory on it's right hand side, almost dead ahead as you come off the ferry.

Barholme and adairs are fully booked for single rooms, I had to get a double room myself at Adairs.

There were double rooms going at Barholme two weeks ago.

I suggest ring and find out.

Hope to see you there.

Does that mean I'm a liliputian too?

Perhaps us wee little things are really leprechauns? - I certainly can be as mischevious as one - apparently!

I remember a couple of years back in Hastings, Liz could just manage to lift a giant of which I couldn't. Which proved the old adage, size really can make a difference.

I'm 5 foot by the way!
