Subject: RE: Songs of the Clippers - Droll Yankee ep From: Thomas Stern Date: 17 Sep 06 - 10:08 AM Hi guest, Yes, I have seen the cover. I would like to know if the back of the sleeve has notes and a copy if it does, and information or dub of the Frank Warner track. The song of the same title on the Heirloom LP is about 40 seconds, partly overdubbed with spoken material. Does this issue have the source track of the recording? Thanks, Thomas. |

Subject: RE: Songs of the Clippers - Droll Yankee ep From: Charley Noble Date: 19 Oct 12 - 07:49 AM Ah, I misunderstood. The track you are trying to confirm as led by Frank Warner is "The Alabama" which appears on both LPs. The notes on the backside of the Roll and Go recording certainly identify Frank Warner as leading "The Alabama." I never saw a copy of Droll Yankees. I wonder why. Maybe it was just a promo sample. Subject: RE: Songs of the Clippers - Droll Yankee ep From: GUEST,John Moulden Date: 19 Oct 12 - 11:04 AM The copy of this 33rpm 4 track which I currently have in my possession has no notes on the back and nothing within the sleeve - no sleeve or liner notes. |
Subject: RE: Songs of the Clippers - Droll Yankee ep From: EBarnacle Date: 19 Oct 12 - 11:29 AM I just dropped a question on their site, referring them to this thread. Droll Yankee is primarily in the bird feeder business now but there may still be albums available. |
