From: greg stephens Date: 17 Sep 06 - 06:31 AM Judging by the contents of these pages over many years, there is often evidence that some people actually disapprove of people singing folk songs being professional musicians. There is also a considerable hostility to the more thoughtful or wordy professionals being allowed to sing folk songs at all: schoolteachers, librarians and social workers are often singled out for derision. So I thought, let's approach it from the other angle entirely. What, in your opinion, would be the most OK profession for a singer of folksongs? |
