Subject: isambarde From: Mo the caller Date: 18 Sep 06 - 09:42 AM The Bedworth threads talks about a 'New Isambarde'. Tell me more. Isn't one enough? (I wouldn't want to be without one though) |

Subject: RE: isambarde From: Moonunit Date: 18 Sep 06 - 11:32 AM Hello Mo tc I fully agree with you that one Isambarde is more than enough! Let me reassure you by saying that Isambarde are still Isambarde and Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer are still very much VS and JD, HOWEVER... We are trying out a new big(ish) band at Bedworth for possible future collaborations. We'll be called 'The Bedworth Experiment' to avoid any confusion, and the 5 of us will hopefully be joined by a guest artist. Welcome to the Experiment! x |

Subject: RE: isambarde From: Dave4Guild Date: 18 Sep 06 - 04:49 PM I think we are all looking forward to that! Perhaps you should have called it Kingdom Brunel! |
|
Subject: RE: isambarde From: Chris Green Date: 18 Sep 06 - 05:46 PM One suggestion for a name we came up with was MAN MAKING RUBBR DILDOES which is an anagram of Isambard Kingdom Brunel. We thought it might attract the wrong crowd though.... |

Subject: RE: isambarde From: English Jon Date: 19 Sep 06 - 04:57 AM But surely, the good mr brunel is nothing to do with the source of the bands name in the first place, isn't that right chief? ohhhhhhh crikey!!! Jon |

Subject: RE: isambarde From: George Papavgeris Date: 19 Sep 06 - 05:19 AM If you HAD used that anagram as the band's name, would that make the guest artist the spare pr*ck at the wedding? |

Subject: RE: isambarde From: muppitz Date: 19 Sep 06 - 10:05 AM Hopefully I will be able to get to Bedworth so I can see this experiment! I was told about it earlier this year and was quite excited about it then, although I fear I will be remembered by Vicki & Jonny as the lass that did nowt but giggle in the beer tent at Bromyard! VERY dignified. muppitz x |

Subject: RE: isambarde From: Andy Jackson Date: 20 Sep 06 - 04:29 AM I'd just finished putting some new pictures on the Miskin at Easter 06 pix when I read this thread. If you look about a third of the way down you will see the "supergroup" in concert. Isambarde joined by not only, Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer, but also, Harriet Earis and Colman Connelly. Wow! Any anagrams for "Augmented Isambarde" ???? Please note this is a link to the photo page, dont bookmark it as it bypasses the main header page of the site which you WILL need later... Andy |

Subject: RE: isambarde From: Paul Burke Date: 20 Sep 06 - 05:47 AM Anagram programs are cheating, and no true artist would countenence the use of one. Travel scrabble is the one true way. |

Subject: RE: isambarde From: GUEST,Popinjay Date: 20 Sep 06 - 02:35 PM Isambarde or isn't he? I heard a well known folkie once quip. Who is the folkie in question? First one to get it right wins free tickets to Isambarde's next gig (if they're generous enough to donate them) |
