Does anyone have the ABC, dots etc for the signiture tune to the Dancing Master, a Scottish country dance. It's a quite new dance ( 5 years), and as the tune was composed for it, it should have the same name.

The tune is by Kevin Lees, dance by John Drewy. Any help very welcome!




PS. I can't find it via a forum search. It may be there, but if it is, it's buried under hundreds of references to Playford. This dance was written in honour of those dancing masters, and has a space in the middle for the dancing master to stand, preferably whilst being the solo fiddler they're danicg to....

Google "RSCDS dancing master Lees Drewry".

I assume you can buy the music from the RSCDS.

The RSCDS mainly publish music for dances they've published, and this isn't one of them yet. Google also suffers from the problem of burying anything useful under thousands of 18th century dancing masters, that's why I asked the 'cat...
