Havent seen anything on mudcat about the first moseley folk fest (Birmingham). Did anyone go ? What did you think ? I went on the Sunday and generally found it a refreshing, varied and v. interesting event, unlike any folk fest I have been to before. A few teething probs (see moseley website), but amazing to see a crowd of youngsters (v.few old folkies around) Going mad for the likes John Renbourn and Mike Heron. In fact, the crowd loved pretty much everything from a local Irish pub band to two dolly birds playing bluegrass. Not quite sure where the organisers were coming from and I wait with baited breath to see where they take it next year. Please lets have another !!
