Subject: Intellitouch/OnBoard Research - Gone? From: Big Mick Date: 28 Sep 06 - 01:51 PM My Intellitouch is ailing and needs service. When I try to find their website, no dice. I looked in the yellow pages for Dallas, TX, and no listing. Does anyone know if this company is out of business? I did a search on Cat and didn't find any reference to that. Mick |

Subject: RE: Intellitouch/OnBoard Research - Gone? From: breezy Date: 28 Sep 06 - 02:34 PM El Greko had communications with them last year, they talked him through 'de-magnitising' it !!!! I think mine needs a fresh battery gone back to the old style for now, its quicker and just as reliable Are these intellis over-rated anyway? |

Subject: RE: Intellitouch/OnBoard Research - Gone? From: George Papavgeris Date: 28 Sep 06 - 02:44 PM Breezy, the old style tuning fork needs somewhere to bang it - OK if you have your music stand up, I suppose... :-) Admit it now, you can't find how to change the battery! Mick, if your IntelliTouch has got stuck, here's what to do: - Open the battery cover and take out the two batteries (note which way up they go for later!) - using a short piece of wire (a paperclip will do), short the two battery connections on the tuner. That takes care of capacitance buildup, which is often the problem (it was in my case). - re-insert the batteries and turn on (the tuner, I don't mean go wild). It should be OK now. |
