I've just recieved the sad news that my good friend Aaron Nathans is leaving Wisconsin to move to Delaware. How and why is a very long story with which I won't bore you.
In addition to losing geographic closeness to a friend, Madison will be losing one of its best performers. I'm sure that he'll be looking for places to play out east. What kind of venues are out there in, say, Philadelphia or elswhere?
To get a handle on what he does here's a link to his website. http://www.aaronnathans.com I'm pretty sure that he has some streaming audio if not some outright downloads of his music there.

Thanks in advance.

Better yet, Stephen, pay his way to the Getaway THIS year, and how 'bout if you go with him?

Sounds like the Wilmington area? Tell your friend about the Delaware Friends of Folk. They're based in Dover, but they ought to have plenty of information on Wilmingon and Philly venues.

Here's a place in Wilmington: Green Willow Folk Club

If it is the Wilmington area, Philadelphia isn't far away, and there is the Philadelphia Folksong Society and many sort of splinter folk groups around the area.

Thanks to all. I'll let Aaron know. He probably won't get to the Getaway this year. He and Debra spent all of thier money moving. I'll work on him for next year. Heck, I'll work on ME for next year.
I'd be there this year, but I'm booked.

I'd pay his way, but my money's tight, too.
