Today's big outdoor concert for the Duke Ellington Jazz Festival in Washington DC has been moved inside. It was to have been a free (October 7) Noon to 8pm concert at the Sylvan Amphitheater on the National Mall, but the weather forcast of rain/drizzle and cold winds prompted a move inside. It's now going to be held in pieces, some this afternoon, some tomorrow. NOT for free anymore (now $15 per performance) at the historic Lincoln Theater in the U Street area. Dr John is one of the performers. The Lincoln is right across the street from a Metro stop. There are other jazz concerts today and tomorrow all over the city.
