Some folk/blues (often including me!), generally a good night but you'll hear a lot of boy-band and Coldplay wannabes, so if you're of a musically-sensitive nature, BE WARNED! LOL! |

Subject: RE: Live music venues lincolnshire From: Bloke in the Corner Date: 08 Oct 06 - 02:15 PM Yes, definitely come to the Six Bells in Barrow each Tuesday for a very friendly mixed session, all abilities from me to a world champion piper. We even allow bodhrans! And the odd song, though it is about 80% toons, and definitely NOT a singaround.Find your way to Barton on Humber, then go along to the next village (Barrow) It's a small place,go to the little market place and you will see it! |
Subject: RE: Live music venues lincolnshire From: Tim theTwangler Date: 08 Oct 06 - 07:59 PM re six bells session in Barrow This is a most exellent musical experience. The room usualy ends up quite full and the the tunes and songs are really very good. They are also a freindly bunch and Bodrhans are as welcome as a proper instrument would be. We havnt made it for some time but you cannot go wrong by paying a visit if you are in the area. as hint if you dont wanna play you might consider sitting just outside the music room in the bar area as you get the benefit of the music and can get to the booze that little bit quicker. |
