I'v just returned from the Chesapeake Bay area, where I was playing music in conjuntion with The Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race. Whilst down there I was aproched on several occasions asking if the Festival was no more. Altho I am not, nor have I been for several years A member of the music staff at Mystic. I think it is safe to assume that there will be a '07 Festival. At least I have it on good authority that there is one being planned.

The Mystic Seaport website has the festival for 2007 taking place June 7-10.   2007

Well, Ron, the rumor that the festival was dead, that it was no more, that it was an ex-festival, had gone to its final reward, was pushing up the daisies....

Okay, I thought it might be some other rumor since this thread seemed to have already killed that rumor before Greg posted.

I guess until I am sitting in front of a stage next year I will be skeptical!   :)

I joined the sea music festival list because of some Astoria things and haven't gotten mail in weeks. Is it still up? mg

It's still up...just quiet.

I think a lot of the principals are focused on other things
just now.
