Just what I like, a VERY INFORMATIVE thread

Alan, the people who KNOW dont need to know, surely the purpose of setting up a thread is to let the people who DONT know, know... if you get what I mean

so, what is this about Great Eastern i.e.

Where,
when,
how much
what goes on
etc etc                   Where is Villan ??? now THERE is a guy who understands these things

as much info would be appreciated

It's a pub called the Great Eastern Tavern, hertford SG13 7BS, near Hertford East station, at 29 Railway Place,they do a singaround, no charge, very informal,all welcome!Weird musical instruments esp. welcome ( a lot of guitars come usually)One Thursday a month.

My Visa is valid and has been stamped for :   ESSEX, KENT, LONDON, YORKSHIRE, BEDWORTH

But seems I missed it, yesterday, hope it went well, will jot all info down (many thanks to Eleanor C) and will TRY and visit next month

is it always third thursday - eleanor says "one thursday a month" ???

Allus on the furred Fursday, unless there are five Fursdays in the month, in which case it is the fourth Fursday.

Perhaps the best way to describe it is "The penultimate Thursday"
