I watched that Paul Jones film clip on YouTube where he was in chains and caged - from some film (by dave watkins 1967??? - no, brain's not working - I'll have to go back and get the link and info :~((
- but what's the story behind it, anyone know??!!

The film was "Priviledge" by Peter Watkins, 1967 and the song was "Priviledge (Set Me Free)" and sung/acted well by Paul Jones.

it was reviewed here in May 2006 by Catherine MacLennan for "The Lamp" -- apparently only one print of the film exists!
hmmm ... that's blown my chance of seeing it, from Down Under!!

It's still controversial then.
