Although a latecomer to piping, James was an enthusiast and joined the New Zealand piper's tours in 2001 and 2005.
He owned Colin Ross pipes and also played wooden flute.
James was unwell for a short time and his body finally gave up on 23 October. A CD we recorded on tour was played as he was taken away from his Canadian home.
Farewell James
Obit here

Perhaps "Lament for Ian Dickson" would be a suitable token of respect.

Condolences to his family & friends.
