Subject: Tech: New Firefox From: John MacKenzie Date: 28 Oct 06 - 03:18 PM I downloaded it, and I'm not too keen on the new Tab headings, but I do like the spell checker that carries over into other thing s like Mudcat posts. What I need to know is this, has anybody found out how to check their mail from the new page? It doesn't work like the old one where you click on Tools and it gives you the option. Giok |
Subject: RE: Tech: New Firefox From: GUEST,Dale Date: 28 Oct 06 - 03:28 PM John, you might want to check our earlier thread on it. It has over 20 posts. I don't think your question was answered, but it was fairly well explored so you could get some useful info from it. http://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=95858&messages=23 |

Subject: RE: Tech: New Firefox From: nutty Date: 29 Oct 06 - 08:14 AM As I understand it Firefox doesn't have a stand alone email service you would need Thunderbird for that. I have a googlemail account as wellas one with ntlworld and downloaded the Google add-on to deal with all my emails Re Tabs ---- I'm not sure what it is you don't like. I open a new folder on the taskbar for each catagory of website I want quick access to. eg. 'News' , 'Forum(s)', 'Sheet music' etc. Then when I'm searching for something I can have them all available with just one click of the mouse. |

Subject: RE: Tech: New Firefox From: nutty Date: 29 Oct 06 - 08:56 AM IN my TOOLS folder there are options to Read Mail and connect to New Messages but I don't know how standard that is and if you would need to set it up. |
