I have always thought the names of some dishes would make good band names....what do you think of the following, in case you are looking for a name ? The Spotted Dicks, The Treacle Tarts, The Hindle Wakes, The Faggots, The Star Gazzie Pies, The Cornish Pasties, The Tripes, The Fat Rascals, The Pork Scraps, The Clapshots and what about the Singing Hinnies ? Anyway, just a bit of fun, hope you can add a few.

Yorkshire Puddings, Peking Ducks, Fairy Cakes (could go with the Faggots) Peaspudding. How about Devils on Horseback?

Of course the Jam, Cream, Roly Polys and I think Marmalade, have already been taken, as has Yorkshire Relish.

All Day Breakfast has a certain ring to it, and Hotpot must surely have been tried by now.

Have to go, keyboards and drool are a bad combination.

Already in existence, or come and gone, are the Smashing Pumpkins, the Chocolate Watchband and the Strawberry Alarm Clock. And there was The Joy of Cooking.

I was in a punk rock band circa 1984-85 called The Pungent Vegetables. And then in the late 80's I was in a classic rock cover band called Pie. More recently I was in an Old Timey band called The Lemon Pickers.
I guess I've always had a thing for food-related band names.

I used to sing in a duo called "Lemon Tart".

I've seen a group called "Pop Tarts" advertised. No doubt I'll think of some more.

The Hot Pot Belly Band is based in West Yorkshire. There's Bowling For Soup, Bread, and Wavy Gravy.
How about:

New Riders of the Purple Sage & Onion
Herb's Old Thyme Band
Mama Casserole
Meat On The Wedge
Fairport Concoction
Mince Lipscolm
Crozzled Grills, Hash and Tongue
Pink Fluid
The Demon Barbeque

Whatever name you use, best learn your chops.

At college we started a short lived band called "Free Beer" (formed for Rag Week and disbanded afterwards). We got some good crowds when we played at the Union bar. Some of 'em seemed disappointed though, don't know why... ;-)

There was a band in London in the late sixties called "Granite Blancmange"

And The late Trevor Crozier had a band called "Bearded Oyster" with Lea Nicholson IIRC

Which of course leads me to the Oyster Band who may not have been mentioned yet (unless I missed it in all the above)
