Goodday Catters

I wonder if anyone can help me on this one?   I'm compiling information for a CD on recently-deceased singers and songwriters and haven't been able to find Next-of-Kin info on these two.

Syd Carter was famous as the author of Lord of the Dance, Down Below etc. but googling his name doesn't reveal a website or contact address.    Sid Long was less well known but his death a year or two ago did get a lot of response here; he was a robust singer, resident at NTMC and member of Notts Alliance.

Any info on contacting their NoK would be appreciated - I suggest PM to avoid broadcasting it abroad.

Try roy harris, he knew everybody from that era in Nottingham.

Finding Sydney Carter's family may not be that easy but Stainer and Bell, his publishers will be one of the first things you find if you Google Sydney Carter.   They seem to guard Sydney Carter's work with great care.

Last line of this Telegraph article says Sydney Carter was survived by wife, Leela Nair, and a son.
