His commitment to the Blues has been life-long, and he learned soooo well. Love his acoustic guitar fingerstyling, and oh boy, those Jimmy Reed-style harmonica solos! Happy Birthday John.

Most websites claim he was born in 1942, not 1943, but those that say 1943 are still so numerous that I'd like to know which date is correct.

I rememeber seeing John on the 60s British TV rock show "Ready Steady Go". I was hoping he would have done an acoustic slide guitar/vocal number, but they had him doing a Chicago blues type number, minus his guitar, plus some British band. I was disappointed.
