He was a van driver before that run with Hughie Green in 1977. That's what he went back to. One good song just en't just enough out there to keep you in the public eye.

This is wierd.

I've wanted to do this song at an open mic I go to and have looked on google a few times to no avail. Then had another go a few days back and there it was.... Thanks a lot.

As the song is short I made up some more lyrics out of my own brain....

It's amazing that Bernie had all that publicity from Opportunity Knocks, and then had a massive hit, and then - Nothing! His second release " Southern Comfort"(?) didn't help as it was a very ordinary song.

I´ve spent a couple of months looking for this.

Recently tried picking up a guitar again and the tune came into my head from nowhere,

I remember it from the opportunity knocks days, but it doesn´t appear to be on many compilation albums

Just now I tried for the first time actaully putting in part of the lyrics I could recall instead of berni Flint, and was at first pleaed to come across this and then amazed at how recent the posts were!

Is there some strange force at work which is propelling this song back into people´s minds.

Are we looking at a 2007 number one!
