Thanks billybob.

This will be my first full gig in an "arts centre" setting, and therefore I could do with all the support I can get. Being the only act for the evening, I will also have two extended sets of 1 hour or so each, which means that I can bring out of the cupboard some songs I have not been doing too often in recent months (or even years). Or even sing some of the newer, yet unrecorded, stuff.

You are going to love this type of setting, George. It suits your music. If it is like the ones I have played, the room will be relatively intimate, folks are there to hear you, and you can work your magic. I certainly wish I could be there to cheer you on, and to hear your magnificent songs in this type of room. Be sure to give us the full report.

I can only echo others' praise of George, who is IMO one of the best 'new' songwriters to emerge for a long time (remember he's only been writing songs for about five years), a great performer and a top bloke to boot. Good luck with the gig George!
