Subject: RE: Folklore: Nick Henessy From: greg stephens Date: 24 Nov 06 - 05:56 PM "A rare Hunger" (Harbourtown HARCD049) is a remarkable CD. Very wonderful haunting singing, .The first track(Balor) gripped me in a very strange way about two notes in. Lots of other good songs, with some very wonderful harp and cello interplay And a very very sad version of Lord Franklin. Definitely worth seeking out. |

Subject: RE: Info on singer: Nick Hennessey From: GUEST,Northerner Date: 28 Nov 06 - 08:06 AM Nick is a fabulous performer. I have seen him perform at Whitby Folk Week and also at a storytelling festival in the Lake District. He is one of the leaders of a storytelling workshop being held in Devon at the end of January, along with Hugh Lupton and Helen Chadwick. I am considering going to it. |
