I am part of a large chorus and we have the English version of Tambur, but we are going to do it in Hungarian. I have been all over the net looking for some free lyrics or even some cheap sheet music, I haven't found any. I really need help, thanks. (Tambur or Ungaresca, music of J. Paix (Organ Book 1583), arranged by Lajos Bardos, SATB, text by Karoly Vargha (1949), copyright 1952& 1981 by Editio Musica, Budapest.)

Editio Musica Budapest is an efficient easy-to-order-from publishing house with reasonable prices. The text is obviously modern and still in copyright, as is the arrangement.

Jack's suggestion is a good one, although since the original request was made in 1999, JWarren is likely to have solved his/her initial problem. The Editio Musica Budapest site http://www.emb.hu seems accessible and clear. "Régi Táncdal" may be the title for which to search.

I found some excellent information about the piece as well as a pdf of the Hungarian language sheet music for choir. Google "Tambur (Régi Táncdal)". The desired result will be the first one, with an address of www.users.on.net/~algernon/tambur/index.html. Although I haven't figured out how to use the clickifier to make blue clickies for pdf sites, you'll have no trouble finding the pdf following the steps listed.
