Hi All!
Since I know he is much to shy (NOT) to tell you himself, one of our own, Paul G. has won the song contest at the Will McLean festival this year. This contest draws the best creative songsters in Florida and is considered a prestigous honor. The song is called "The Creek." Care to comment Paul? harpgirl

Thanks for the mention, Harpgirl...sorry I didn't get the chance to meet you this weekend (were you there?). The song is a tribute to two rather notable Florida women, Marjorie Rawlings (author of the Yearling, resident of Cross Creek) and Marjory Stoneman Douglas, chronicler of the Everglades. Any Mudcateers intersted at a peek at my mug and a listen to a clip can find it at my meagerly, (though cheaply) constructed web site: http://members.aol.com/pgarf/home.html

Best to all, Paul G.

Paul congratulations! I was at the festival for a while on Saturday, but missed your set. However, I did meet the delightful Harpgirl and her husband who is a wonderful artist. As a longtime friend of Will McLean, it is really gratifying to see his work carried on by all the musicians and songwriters who participated in the festival. I look forward to hearing your song. I am headed for your web site to check it out. TequilaRon
