The Twa Dogs in Keswick has a fortnightly Sunday afternoon session. Not sure whether it'll be on over Christmas though

Wednesday night in Windermere is 9.00pm onwards in the Lamplighter, on the one way section near the Railway station.
Lancaster is another 30-35 minutes south from there if you're desparate, and there is the Thursday session in the Gregson.
I don't know what's happening about the Burton-in-Kendal last Sunday in the month session, as New Year's eve is probably not a good idea and nor is Christmas eve. It may move to the 30th.
Apart from that try to contact Nick Hennesey at Bowland Bridge. There's at least one carol night going on but I don't know the date(s).

I might be up there on Wed 3rd Jan - does anyone know if the Lamp Lighter in Windermere will have a folk session (or whatever they do there) that night? If anyone knows of any folk events/sessions/etc. (anything vaguely folky!) in the first week of the New Year in the Lakes, I'd be interested to hear about them.

Some mates (perhaps me as well, depends how things pan out) will be at the Blencathra Centre at Threlkeld for those dates. There's likely going to be a ceilidh, fell-running, singing, hill-walking, drinking, music-ing and falling over.

PM me with your mobile (if you have one) and I'll do my best to keep you informed.

Cheers,

John

Thanks everyone, I'll do some follow up.
As John J says we may well organise something ourselves, possibly in the pub in Threlkeld., we're rather a large group, some of whom enjoy a sing and a play.

John J I've PMed you.
