Love the cut Stone & Sand & Sea & Sky From Penny Lang's CD.....and Cockburn's....well I'm speachless. Great to see the west coast finally getting a bit more recognition in the nominees, for a change.

Metchosin is right... Except for the two nominations for Ron Hynes, the provinces of Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick weren't even in the running this year.

Aw, they disqualified anyone from Cape Breton to give others a chance, but that's okay. As the old song goes "We got along without ya before we met ya, gonna get along without ya now.

You got it anyways Guest dax, I'm pretty certain the song Stone and Sand and Sea and Sky was written by someone from the east coast.....my mind's blank at the moment though.

Canada coast to coast...Montreal to Vancouver, as usual. Oh well, we do have our own awards "out" here. But it is amazing to have folk awards with nearly no one from Atlantic Canada involved.

I meant in terms of Artists. Considering how much great music originates in Atlantic Canada , it surprising not to see more (or any) perfermers mentioned.

I have been a fan of Penny's for about 35 years. This is great news for both her and Borealis Records.
