Subject: Seamus Kennedy, You Sang To Me Today From: wysiwyg Date: 14 Dec 06 - 04:15 PM Dear Seamus Kennedy, Today as I stood in the middle of a beautifully rippling pool of cool water, doing my Ai Chi exercise routine, you sang to me about Molly Maguire. You were in wonderful voice, as usual! The richness of your peaceful singing was a wonderful accompaniment to the prismaticized splashes of sunlight that had filtered in through the windows to lie all wiggly on the pool floor, in the late afternoon brilliance of the day. It made me think back to the vry first CD you sent me, and the times I was going through then.... and the way one human voice can stretch across miles and chasms to heal so powerfully and so simply. It still does heal, and you will be glad to know that I had to tighten the jogging belt more than another inch today. Thanks for being with me! And do come again. Bring beer we can split in the sly, in the sauna. Next time, though, I think you better bring your suit. :~) With gushing love, ~Susan |

Subject: RE: Mudcat, You Sang To Me Today From: MMario Date: 14 Dec 06 - 09:58 PM me bad. But y'know - besides the fact that Seamus probably couldn't cut a bad CD if he tried -- there is something about listening to a CD where the person is known to you -even those you just know through the 'cat and not face to face. |

Subject: RE: Mudcat, You Sang To Me Today From: Bill D Date: 14 Dec 06 - 10:06 PM Susan...I'm sure Seamus is excellent & special...but have you considered Handel's "Water Music"? |

Subject: RE: Mudcat, You Sang To Me Today From: Joe Offer Date: 15 Dec 06 - 02:49 AM Who said humor wasn't allowed in music threads? Oh, that's right. Shambles said Joe Offer said that humor wasn't allowed in music threads, despite the fact that humor in music threads has been a Mudcat tradition. -Joe- |

Subject: RE: Mudcat, You Sang To Me Today From: frogprince Date: 15 Dec 06 - 04:49 PM Mudcat sang to me a couple of days ago; I ordered a copy of the Blue Bottle CD for my nephews' little girls, and had to give it a listen myself. That's my first chance to hear several of these actual voices of the cat's multiple-personality-syndrome. Good fun. I put some Blue Plate Specials, with ordering references, on my own wish list. |

Subject: RE: Mudcat, You Sang To Me Today From: Louie Roy Date: 15 Dec 06 - 06:27 PM I agree with you Susan there isn't anything more enjoyable than music whether you are in a hot tub shower alone in a car traveling down a back road or being awakened out of a deep sleep by an artist that you really enjoy.Play it again and enjoy it as much the second time as you did the first |
