I haven't seen this guy for so long, and hey presto he turns up at The Bell at the singaround at the the Cheltenham Festival. Really good to see him on the folk circuit. I've found his website if anyone what's to catch up with his whereabouts.

someone who is great now doing the folk circuit

Yes I agree he's a brilliant performer. He ought to be having been on the scene for many years. Thanks for being there. I wish I could've been but circumstances prevented it.

Howard came down for a Llantrisant Folk Club showcase recently - what a musician, filling out the chord progressions just brilliantly, and there were quite a few that smacked of jazz!

He does some gigs near my new home here in North Herefordshire. I saw him at a local pub in fact. I was really impressed when I managed to get him to switch off his backing tracks. They are good too tho because he's actually backing himself apparently.

He also came to an open mic run by one of the chaps I sing with. John Eyre runs this in The Inn on the Avenue in Brecon. Howard Bragen was on his own just with a guitar and he blew the audience socks off!
I thought his jazz, rock and blues were a pleasure to listen to.

Btw I also saw Blakes 111 again this week, but that's another 'fred' if I remember correctly.

I've seen this guy playing in and around the Aberystwyth Pubs and clubs and just wondered why he's not well known all over UK.

Go to www.howardbragen.com and listen to him on www.gigall.co.uk and tell me where he's been for the past years.
