Got this in my inbox today. For those of you who dont know. Scott plays Robert Johnson style very beautifully and writes his own stuff. His instruction video on the the Robert Johnson guitar style is a classic - just really exquisite to watch.

I'll be spending New Year's Eve playing in Rutland, Vermont for their
'First Night' celebrations and then traveling in the months of
January and February as far afield as Glasgow, Scotland for the
internationally acclaimed Celtic Connections Festival and work here
in the Northeast in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, as well as dates
in the middle South and Florida.

Renowned guitarist Ernie Hawkins and I are developing a concert
program together called "Actin' Up: Juke Joint & Holy Blues"
focusing on the music of Rev. Gary Davis and Robert Johnson. We
figure it to be an evening of stories and songs, solos and duets–a
sort of 'My Dinner With André' about acoustic blues. We visited with
Bill Wax of Bluesville at XM Radio in early December and recorded a
bunch of stuff for them. We're excited about spending more time
together and doing these shows.

I've been reading interesting stuff and will get a BluesNotes out to
the list in early January. Highlights include "Redemption" by
Nicholas Lehmann and "Escaping the Delta" by Elijah Wald.
