Subject: Lyr Req: Surely Here is an Honest Man From: glen197 Date: 05 Jan 07 - 04:43 AM I heard this song sung by Bill Steele many times as his offering to the "Gods of traditional music" in penance for his usual presentations of his compositions. It is a love song, Scottish in origin and is one of the few Bill sang unaccompanied. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Surely Here is an Honest man From: GUEST,Auldtimer Date: 05 Jan 07 - 05:49 AM Having followed the link on the second post I have to say I am depressed. Depressed that the numpties on their are presenting such a poor and distastefull image of Folk and Traditional music and Scotland. This is not the musical world that I am living in, enjoy and try to further and expand. Thankfully they don't appear to have any forthcoming bookings, let's keep it that way. |
